Innovation Strategies, Dual VET Alliance Award for SMEs

Since 2012 we have been hosting Dual VET students

Innovation Strategies has been awarded the IV Alliance for Dual Vocational Training Award in the SME category, granted in this fourth edition by the Bertelsmann Foundation and the CEDE Foundation - Spanish Confederation of Directors and Executives within the framework of the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training. The company has been awarded for the quality of its work, as apprentices receive initial training and participate in meetings with project managers and tutors in which they are assessed, according to their preferences and skills, the best fit within the company.

The aim of this recognition is to raise awareness among the business community, educational centres, organisations and society of the need to promote quality Dual Vocational Training in our country. This is an educational modality in which the educational centre and the company share responsibility for the theoretical and practical training of the apprentice. In Spain, Dual Vocational Training has a high labour market insertion rate, and is presented as a key tool both to promote quality youth employment and to improve the competitiveness of companies.

Innovation Strategies was a pioneer in 2012 in the implementation of Dual VET in the Balearic Islands, and is currently one of the benchmark training companies and prescribers of the model in the region. In addition, the company provides individual academic guidance sessions to its apprentices once the training period is over, helping the student to redirect their future within or outside the company.

The winners were chosen by a jury made up of the partners promoting the Dual Vocational Training Alliance (Spanish Chamber of Commerce, CEOE, Bertelsmann Foundation and Princess of Girona Foundation), the CEDE Foundation and representatives of the previous winners. Due to exceptional health circumstances, the awards ceremony will take place in the framework of the 6th Forum of the Alliance for Dual Vocational Training to be held in October.

The Vice President of the Bertelsmann Foundation, Francisco Belil, stated that it is essential to continue to give visibility to the work carried out by companies, organisations and educational centres, "even more so in these times of job and economic uncertainty in which the commitment to this training option is more necessary than ever to reduce youth unemployment".

The CEO and founder of Innovation Strategies, Miguel Fernández Díaz, said that this award praises the company's commitment to Dual Vocational Training students since 2012 in the field of technological development and implementation. For Fernández Díaz, "this educational model allows us to see with great pride how students grow and develop professionally in our company".
